  1. Your son has the coolest haircut. I generally participate in Old School Blogging eventually – I have to be inspired first. This is helping!

  2. I just noticed your reply on a previous post and seeing the pictures above, yes, he was my art teacher! Small world!

Man, I only WISH I was watching Catching Fire tonight. I’m crossing my fingers for just any time this weekend!!

  3. I enjoyed reading your answers, Shana! I want to hear how you like Catching Fire. I want to see it, but I decided I wasn’t up for fighting the crowds at the theater tonight.

    • We loved it. My husband liked it better than Hunger Games (which we re-watched on Netflix Thursday night in preparation.) I can’t remember the details as far as the book goes, but he thought it followed very closely.

  4. So fun! So glad that you played along too. I too would like to be more consistently present than I am now. And purple IS awesome. How was Catching Fire??!?!

    • We loved Catching Fire, Christine. We saw the trailer for Divergent and decided we want to tackle that series together prior to the movie release in March :)

      • The Divergent books are good! We read the first one for a book club pick, but I had to pick up the rest as soon as I was done! Waiting for the third one to be released last month felt like forever, but it was worth the wait. :)

  5. Yay, I’m so excited to see you link up! You know it’s funny, I never thought about it, but you are right, having long hair does mean less haircuts! I actually really love your hair, by the way. That creamer sounds amazing. I might have to go get some. And you must be a fellow pet collector. Isn’t life so much fun with so many furry creatures running around? Hopefully the kids help a little bit with the caretaking :)

    • We get so many laughs from our pets. All of them like to pile up in the same kennel when they’re inside. It’s funny to see them interact. One of the dogs gets really cranky if any of the others moves while she’s trying to sleep, the kitten tries to play with the older cats when they’re resting … it’s all very entertaining.

  6. I love your answers. :)
Is the first photo a painting from your husband (you make a lovely couple, by the way)? xx

  7. Yeah! I did a few of the Old School Blogging posts over the summer and somehow totally forgot about them! I’m going to go and write this as my post for tomorrow! And I can’t wait to see Catching Fire. Sadly though, I still haven’t seen The Hunger Games despite loving the books! I really have to do that soon!!! Also, I haven’t read the Divergent series yet but I am planning on reading it as soon as I finish Mary Coin which is really good by the way!

    • I’ve never heard of Mary Coin. I’ll have to check it out. My husband and I decided that we want to track down two copies of Divergent so we can literally read them at the same time. With Hunger Games, I read the first book before him, and he read the second and third books before me. I read so many books that I tend to forget details, which made discussing a little difficult. I think it will be fun to synchro-read Divergent.

PS: Can’t wait to read your OSBlogging post :)

  8. I just love those pics of you and your hubby that I assume are in your bedroom!

Was Catching Fire good? I hope to go see it this weekend. I really liked books one and two. Not the third one so much…

Thanks for linking up with OSB!! :)

    • I really enjoyed Catching Fire. My husband liked it even better than The Hunger Games. I’m undecided on which I like best. Funny: the second book was my least favorite.

Is there a specific date each month that OSB goes live?
